
DR. JOE BETZ
Owner & Clinical Director
Dr. Joseph W. Betz, BS, DC, CICE, FCBP, FICA, has practiced chiropractic in Idaho since 2002. During that time, he has founded and operated several corrective chiropractic clinics and currently serves patients at Modern Chiropractic Center in Boise and Nampa. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of Pittsburgh in 1995 and graduated magna cum laude from Life University with his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2001.
Internationally recognized as a chiropractor, educator, researcher, and professional leader, Dr. Betz has taught Chiropractic BioPhysics® (CBP®) postgraduate seminars since 2001. He has co-authored over 20 peer-reviewed, PubMed-indexed scientific publications addressing spinal biomechanics, posture, radiographic assessment, vertebral subluxation, structural correction, and patient outcomes. And he is also a peer reviewer for approximately 10 PubMed journals. He is a Fellow of Chiropractic BioPhysics, a Fellow of the International Chiropractors Association, and holds certification as an Independent Chiropractic Examiner.
Dr. Betz serves as President of the International Chiropractors Association and Vice President of the Chiropractic BioPhysics Nonprofit. Throughout his career, he has also contributed to chiropractic regulation, professional education, research, advocacy, and nonprofit governance. His leadership has allowed him to help shape important conversations about chiropractic practice, research, public policy, and the relationship between spinal health and whole-person health.
Despite his national and international responsibilities, Dr. Betz considers caring for his patients his foremost professional priority. He brings the same evidence-informed, individualized, and corrective approach to each patient that he brings to his research, teaching, and professional leadership.
