Modern Chiropractic and CBP
As someone who has searched for different doctors, I know how challenging and frustrating it can be to find a doctor that you can trust, feel comfortable with, and confide in to take care of your health; Especially because there are so many different kinds of providers and it feels like you have tried so many different approaches, with no long-lasting change in your overall health. When it comes to musculoskeletal pain, chiropractors have been known to be very successful in decreasing pain within the body. Chiropractic has been shown time and time again to help with neck pain, lower back pain, headaches and migraines, shoulder and other joint pains as well as chronic muscle tension. As a chiropractor, one of the biggest complaints that I hear from patients is that ‘everything they try is short term and not long-lasting.’
Have you ever played the game Jenga? It’s pretty fun unless you’re the one who loses. 😉 You have to pull the block out slowly (repetitive injuries over time causing misalignments in the body), try to wiggle it out (deal with pain with little success), and try to put it on the top of the puzzle without the puzzle falling. Have you ever decided to pull out a block in Jenga to find out that it won’t come out and you have to try to put it back in? That’s how I have personally felt in my past when I would get adjusted and my adjustments wouldn’t ever ‘hold or last’ long term. That’s the problem with chronic spine or joint problems, if you keep getting adjusted and it doesn’t hold or stay, then what is the point of continuously going back? Maybe this was always my thought process and no one else’s but it made me frustrated and feeling hopeless.
The question is WHY. Why are you not holding your adjustments? Why is your pain not going away long-term? Why is it that you had a car accident 20 years ago and the injuries you’ve gotten from them have not gone away? That’s because we are playing Jenga and not addressing the root cause of global positioning (or redoing the Jenga puzzle and rebuilding it). Do you follow along? What the doctors at Modern Chiropractic find is that we as people are very hard on our bodies throughout our lives and it ends up changing the entire global alignment of the spine, not just one vertebra or segment. Although those individual segments are very important in helping decrease pain, we find that when we can CHANGE the GLOBAL alignment of the spine, our musculoskeletal complaints disappear for longer times, if not entirely.
How does someone change the global alignment of his or her spine without surgery? Well, first you have to find a chiropractor that practices CBP and is trained properly and thoroughly in that technique. All the doctors at Modern Chiropractic have CBP certifications that are acquired post-doctorate college that takes hundreds of hours to fully know the ways to help patients fully heal from their long-term injuries.
WHAT is CBP?
CBP stands for Chiropractic Biophysics and as an entity, has over 259 studies, many of which are published in the highest of journals across the world. CBP is one of the few techniques that have been shown to help patients change the GLOBAL alignment of their spines and allow freedom from chronic pain and other health issues that have weighed down their lives and stopped them from living their best life. These changes, in the majority of cases, have been shown to be LONGTERM. CBP is not for everybody of course, but that is where a thorough exam and consultation with one of the doctors at Modern Chiropractic will help to determine. For me, when I found my first CBP doctor, it felt like a weight was lifted off my shoulders and it allowed me to regain control of my health. From daily extreme neck pain and tightness, constant tingling in my fingers to regular headaches, low energy levels, and hormonal irregularities, I found hope when I changed my global spine alignment through CBP.
If you feel like you have tried many different chiropractors with no long-term solutions for your health, give Modern Chiropractic a phone call and get set up with a free consultation with one of their highly trained doctors. They have two locations, one in Nampa and one in Boise. Hope may be on the horizon!
