chiropractic neck pain treatment

Do your joints feel stiff and achy when you get out of bed in the morning? Does it take an extra ten minutes for you to finally “get going”? This type of joint pain is a common issue for Boise residents. The big problem is that those “10 minutes” will usually become, 15, then 20, and so on. Also, that “bad ankle” in the beginning will eventually become the knee, hip, back, etc. Dealing with pain in the joints is like trying to stop water from coming out of a faucet with a broken handle… it wont stop coming unless you fix the handle. If you are experiencing joint pain, you should consider trying Modern Chiropractic Care. We will find the underlying reason you get joint pain and do everything possible to correct the cause of the problem.

What Does Modern Chiropractic Do to Help?

While we provide traditional Chiropractic adjustments of the spine, we can also adjust other joints in the body, including the ankles, knees, hips, shoulders, and wrists. This improves pain and increases range of motion of the stiff joints. Often patients only need a series of adjustments to free up the joints to move more freely and feel better when you wake up in the morning. At Modern Chiropractic Center we also give our patients corrective exercises and perform corrective traction or stretching. Adjustments of the joints do not hurt… in fact it’s just the opposite. Most people enjoy getting their painful joints adjusted and notice immediate relief of joint pain and stiffness.

What Should I Expect at a First Visit to Modern Chiropractic Center for my Joint Pain?

At mc2, we will have you complete a health history before you meet with the doctor. You can do this on your computer at home or come early to the office to complete it there. Then you will meet with one of our Licensed Doctors of Chiropractic. The doctor will discuss the history of your problems and perform an appropriate exam to discover why you are getting that joint pain. The doctor will even check to see if your joint problem may be affecting other joints of the body. Taking X-rays of the affected joints is usually necessary to determine if there is degenerative arthritis in the joints, or if the joints are misaligned. Arthritis, for example, can dramatically alter the recommended course of care.

Is it Bad to Just Ignore the Joint Pain?

Many people just deal with pain and accept it as a normal part of life. Joint pain is not normal. It is a sign that something is wrong. And like most other health problems in the body, if you are doing something to fix the problem, it is only going to worsen over time. No one wants their aching joints to get so out of control that is lands them in a wheelchair when they are old. It is always better to be evaluated by a doctor who has experience helping people with joint problems and see if anything can be done to help.
