Massage therapy is used by thousands of Boise area residents. However, a good massage therapist specializing in therapeutic massage is difficult to find. We have had many different therapists over the years and have been fortunate to find ones that have passed our rigorous standards of excellence. Now we can confidently offer massage therapy services that get at the root of the problems “deep” in the soft tissues.
By addressing the actual underlying soft tissue problems, our patients experience longer-lasting relief, decreased tension, increased energy, better sleep and overall improvement in quality of life!
Massage therapy is one of the most effective and widely used alternative therapies in the world. Massage therapy can be described as the manipulation the soft-tissues such as muscles and fascial tissues. An experienced massage therapist will not only relax tight muscles, but can also relieve pain, rehabilitate injuries, reduce overall stress and improve the general wellness of their clients.
Our massage therapists use a variety of techniques including: pressure, friction, stroking, rocking, kneading, percussion, or passive or active stretching within the normal anatomical range of movement. Research now shows that at least moderate pressure must be used to achieve the beneficial effects of massage.
Massage therapists are licensed by the state of Idaho. A Licensed Massage Therapist must complete a minimum of five hundred (500) in-class supervised hours of coursework and clinic work, as well as having to pass a nationally recognized competency exam. Our massage therapists at Modern Chiropractic Center, are not only licensed, but also have years of experience.
